Getting their start in 2020 just before the global pandemic, Worlds Worst has already made an impact in their local Salt Lake City scene. Worlds Worst consists of Andrew Aronson on vocals and guitar, guitarist Max Schoenfeld, drummer Zach Mayo, and Jake Phillips on bass. Their first self-released and self-produced (unless you count some mixing help from guitarist Max’s dad) EP allowed them to garner some online attention with bangers like “Blue” and “Orange” and relatable lyrics like “I didn’t feel like dying.”

While continuing to self-record (At Max’s Dad’s House), Andrew and cohorts have enlisted the help of Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Jeff Rosenstock, Tony Molina) on mixing and mastering for EP2. The EP’s opener, “Twins” bursts into your eardrums with anxious energy reminiscent of a 90s emo/punk classic while maintaining the band's shoegaze-like sonic quality. Worlds Worst "Balloons," the first single from their upcoming sophomore EP, radiates a unique brand of melancholy nervous energy that fuzzes through the song and hits you with the band's most poppy hook to date. With a sense of normalcy on the horizon, Worlds Worst look to take their music wherever welcomed and bring the melodramatic vibes to a gig near you!
